Perfect timing!

A reservation made months in advance for the brand new indoor water park plus a snowstorm on check in day made this family so grateful to have something to do other than clear the snow.

We wore the wolf ears anytime we weren't in the water and the adults enjoyed the rides as much as the kids.  With names like "Tornado" and "Wolf Tail", who wouldn't!

The spoils of victory

Ironically Eliana and her friend won the 6th grade fantasy football challenge.  While she could care less about football, she absolutely loves chocolate!

I know I missed posting the birthday pic for the now 14 year old, but this is so much better.  The recent birthday girl with our new puppy, Oscar - 8 weeks old today!

Trick riding on Gypsy

Eliana's riding instructor's passion is trick riding (way cool to watch).  And for some lessons she has Eliana use a vaulting saddle and soft soled shoes to learn a trick or two as well.  This video is one of those times...

Happy Birthday!

Double 1's and spent the day performing at her first band concert (trumpet), enjoying a milkshake for lunch, and watching Rodeo Girl!

A few of my favorites...

We visited Yellowstone for the family vacation this year.  Eleven hours or so in the car plus McDonald's smoothies on the way and we arrived with the family still intact and speaking to each other.  We rented a house in Tom Miner Basin and spent countless hours watching the elk, deer, and grizzly in the river basin below.  For a mere $25 million you can buy the Grizzly Creek Ranch up the road, but luckily VRBO had something more in our price range.

Yellowstone never ceases to amaze and the kids loved the geothermal features, but not the sulfur smell.  And watching Old Faithful erupt at sunset was definitely worth the wait and long drive.  Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip-
